Creating a Subdomain in NameCheap

Setting up a subdomain can be a straightforward process if done correctly. This guide will walk you through creating a subdomain in your NameCheap account and linking it to your CRM, ensuring that your traffic is directed to the desired pages or funnels.

1. Access Domain List: Start by accessing your NameCheap account with your credentials. In the main menu, select “Domain List”.

1. Navigate to Advanced DNS: At the top of the screen, click on “Advanced DNS”, then select "ADD NEW RECORD."

1. Define the Subdomain: Under "Host," enter the subdomain name (e.g., "blogs"), excluding the main domain URL.

1. Enter IP Address: Input the IP address "sites.ludicrous.cloud" where indicated.

1. Save Changes: Confirm and save your settings by clicking on the green tick.

From your account dashboard, navigate to the "Settings" section and select "Domains." Then, click on the "Connect a Domain" button to proceed.

Next, choose the option to connect the domain to a funnel, website, store, blog, or webinar.

Enter the full domain/ subdomain URL (e.g., "blogs.example.com") and click "Continue".

Select the "Verify Records" button to begin the verification process. Please allow up to 10 minutes for this to be completed.

Next, choose the specific funnel or website page to which you want the subdomain to load by default.

If the initial attempts fail, allow time for the root domain to propagate. A success message will confirm when the domain is ready. 

Optionally, you may select the desired page to be displayed as your error page from the drop-down menu.

Finalize the process by clicking “Save”.
